Connaught place, better known as CP happens to be the heart of shopping in New Delhi. It is the commercial hub of Delhi that was built in 1931. The architecture followed a well planned and well structured Victorian style which was reproduction of the Royal Crescent in Bath, England. The glamour of CP attracts everyone for both their love for shopping and entertainment. All the sub markets and shops in Connaught place are planned in inner and outer circle. The thought behind such a planning was that the circular structure of the market would be beneficial for both the shopkeepers and the shoppers. The impressive Connaught place has been renamed as Rajiv Chowk. The business shops are mostly the big showrooms. Connaught Place has even a small grocery store to a car showroom. The colorful crowd adds up to vibrant glory of this historic place. Connaught place has branches of all the major Nationalized and International banks, along with the offices of tours operators and emporiums of different states.
